How to play

  1. 1

    Chop the pines

    Look at a pine and hold left click. Small, medium and large pines give 2, 3 and 4 wood. Hold Shift to chop twice as fast — it costs stamina.

    Feed the furnace

    Jump into the engine's cab (Space twice for a double jump). Right-click the furnace door and click your wood to load it. One log drives 2 km.

  3. 3

    Drive the train

    Press E at the red lever. Hold W to open the throttle and S to ease off. Top speed is 50 km/h. Press E again to let go.

  4. 4

    Ride together

    Stand in the cab or on the wagons and the train carries you. Every 10 minutes night falls, the fog closes in, and the headlight is all you have.

Field guide

  1. Chop pines. Hold left click on a pine; the logs fall to the ground. Right-click a log to pick it up.
  2. Feed the furnace. In the engine cab, right-click the furnace door and click your wood. 1 log = 2 km.
  3. Drive. Right-click the red lever. W / S for throttle, hold Space for the hand brake, right-click again to let go.
  4. Ride together. Stand in the cab or on the wagons. Don't get left behind.
